Being pregnant is scary.

Aside from the constant questions; Is my baby healthy? Are they growing properly? I have to get another ultrasound to make sure they don’t have what?

And also knowing once they are here, every aspect of your life is changed forever.

A Change in Body Image

No one loves their body. Everyone has something they would change if they could. We’re all full of insecurities and most of us crave positive reinforcement. 

The part of my body that I have always disliked the most is my back. Scoliosis has claimed my ribs on both sides, jutting out on the right and pulling in on the left with a hard right curve.

A Letter to My Future Self

(Read after R’s first birthday on July 6th)

Dear Tarynn,

I’m writing this because I know you and B are unsure as to whether you want a third child or not. People keep asking, and at this point in your lives, you may be considering it.

Z is old enough to help out and engages in fun conversations. R is big enough to walk around and is as cute as ever. So, yeah, you could handle a third one, right?

Miss Z is Gonna Be Three

In honor of my daughter’s 3rd birthday tomorrow, I thought I would share our birthing experience:

I was two days late.  My husband had just left for work at 7am and I got up for the tenth time to pee, when my water broke.  It didn’t hurt, it was just obvious what had happened. I continued to the restroom to pee.  And things started to….gush.
